SketchUp - University Project

Pop-up design

For this project I was tasked to create a pop-up space that would be used to promote Trimble's Google Sketchup as part of my BA degree in interior design. This project was also created under a strict set of requirements set out by the client to ensure the pop-up fitted withing the brand itentity.

The concept created was for a real life SketchUp model. Designed to make an adventure by putting people inside the software making them feel that the space itself is an alive, breathing SketchUp model.

This was achieved by designing the space to both look and act like a real life SketchUp model. What this means is that the pop-up does not only physically look like a model made within SketchUp but also acts like one. This experience is achieved by using AR and VR technologies to turn the physical space into a virtual functioning model.

Users are able to interact with different parts of the space and explore SketchUp functions. Features people could interact with will included AR holographs, animations, demonstrations along QR codes to webpages where more detail could be given and SketchUp memberships could be bought.

More information about this project and it's development can be found in my Design Portfolio.
